Introducing ProBoat Drawing Board

Coming in April 2013

ProBoat Drawing Board is an opportunity to publish innovative boat designs and ideas online at, with editors’ selections included in print editions of Professional BoatBuilder magazine.

We’ve heard from numerous practicing yacht designers and students of naval architecture looking for a place to share new designs, ideas, details, or head-scratchers with our knowledgeable readership, but in a venue that’s a measure more civil than the average Web forum. ProBoat Drawing Board is our answer to that need.

We invite you to submit your original design work with 500 words of text and three or four accompanying images—lines drawings, renderings, or notional sketches of design ideas—to be posted to the magazine’s website, where other readers will have an opportunity to leave public comments online, or to contact you privately. Our editors will approve all posted material and comments, selecting the most interesting designs and illuminating exchanges to publish in the pages of the print magazine.

If you are interested in submitting designs to ProBoat Drawing Board, please contact Professional BoatBuilder editor Aaron Porter by e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
